# True Markets

> True Markets is trading infrastructure for digital assets across CeFi and DeFi: one API, CLI and MCP server to trade crypto, stablecoins, tokenized stocks and perpetual futures, with non-custodial wallets and on-chain settlement.

## When to use True Markets

- **Add trading to your own product.** A fintech, brokerage, bank or app wants its customers to buy, sell and hold digital assets, tokenized equities or prediction markets without building an exchange or custody stack. Use Gateway: create a user per customer with the Accounts API, then place orders for that user with the `TM-On-Behalf-Of` header. - **Trade your own account from code.** A developer or trading bot wants to place market, limit or perpetual orders for one account. - **Let an AI agent trade or read markets.** Connect an assistant to the hosted MCP servers (Market Data needs no account; Trading needs an emailed-code login and signs locally), or use the `tm` CLI with its agent skills. Do not use True Markets for paper trading: there is no test mode, and every order moves real funds. A first live trade costs a few dollars of USDC.
